IMA Faridabad handed over memorandum to Minister Gurjar

PNN/Faridabad: Indian Medical Association, (IMA), Faridabad members handed over memorandum to the Minister Krishanpal Gurjar at his residence Sector-28 here today and informed him about the nationwide protest against NMC BILL.

The minister was briefly apprised about negative consequences of NMC bill and assured to help the way possible at his end and to get it conveyed to PM.
During this, Dr Punita Hasija, President IMA Faridabad, Dr Suresh Arora, Imm Past president, Dr Ajay Kapoor, Sr Vice President, Dr Shipra Gupta, Hon secretary, Dr Sunil Parashar, Dr Sonal Gupta, Dr MC Gupta, Dr Amit Gupta and other members of IMA were especially present there.

Significantly, IMA team is continuously opposing the bill and demanding that the following Bills pending before the Parliament are not only unfriendly to the medical professionals but have not been framed as per the health care needs of the masses of India.

Dr Punita Hasija, President IMA Faridabad had said Indian Medical Association, the umbrella organisation of all modern medical practitioners in the country representing 8.5 lakhs modern medical practitioners is very much concerned about many of the provisions of CPA 2018 and we feel that these amendments will cause further increase in treatment costs, make health care unaffordable and inaccessible to weaker sections of the society, promote corporatization of health care eliminating smaller hospitals and will make implementation of public funded health programs difficult.
