Members of J&K Khidmat Centres said “No Justice No Peace”, protested

PNN India: Members of J&K Khidmat Centres Association staged a protest here demanding their absorption in J&K Bank as regular employees.

Tehseen Hussain Mugloo, President Jammu and Kashmir Khidmat Centre Association talking to PNN said, Khidmat Centres were established by J&K Bank in 2009 on the assurances that these centres would become the centre of participation for the public. The promises on which these centres were established were never fulfilled. Those educated youth with Degrees from, B.A, B.Sc, B.C.A. MBA, and MCA who trusted J and K Bank and Government, lost the best part of their career in the wait to get those promises fulfilled , but nothing substantial ever was given. The continuous exploitation and overlooking for almost a decade compelled the professionals associated with these centres to demand a permanent solution to their miseries.
Tehseen Hussain told that On 9th November 2018 and 13th May 2019 in our meetings with then Worthy Chairman and present Worthy Chairman Was also the part of that meeting, it was promised that bank will soon find a way out for your genuine sufferings very soon. We were made to wait and this long wait has left us debit ridden. In this long and cruel wait we lost all means to feed our families.

He said The legacy of these centres is remarkable. We served during this disastrous situation of COVID-19 in best possible ways by providing basic banking facilities door to door. We risked our lives by working in Red Zones. Besides such extra-ordinary efforts bank is still not paying any heed to our genuine demand. We tried our best to meet the top management of Bank but never allowed to meet. Really a matter of great exclamation here arises when they are not ready to meet us, how can they resolve our issue.

We felt little relaxed when our issue was ascertained from PMO Office, which was published in majority of newspapers on 18th February 2020. In that news article the then Honorable Lt. Governor (G.C.Murmu) and Honorable MOS PMO Office Dr. Jitender Singh assured that a plan has been formulated to address the long pending and burning issue of Khidmat Centres. But utter to our disgrace nothing has been done in this direction.

Now our appeal must reach Honorable Lt. Governor to take this process onboard and expedite the process of permanent settlement as to do the justice with 1200 families in the realms of “No Justice No Peace.”
