Pregnant women must be careful in the cold: Dr Beena Sharma

PNN/ Faridabad: Getting the cold or flu when you are pregnant can affect your unborn baby. If you are considering pregnancy or are already pregnant, it is recommended that you have the flu vaccination to help protect you and your baby.

Dr Beena Sharma consultant, B.K hospital says a lot of women having seasonable disease like cough, cold, sneezing and viral fever patients are coming to the hospital. She said the cold could be harm to unborn baby, so pregnant woman must wear hot cloths, eat hot food and avoid edible cold things,apart from this they should sit in sun exposer, because their body can get vitamin-D.

Dr Sarma said pregnant women must be conscious about their health. They should immediate consult to the doctor if they don’t feel well, otherwise their negligence may put bad impact on their health.
