Escorts follows highest standards in operating Factory

PNN India: Escorts Limited has recommenced operations at the Escorts Factory at Faridabad in line with the government directives. Escorts falls under the Essential Goods category and has been permitted to operate in 3 shifts.
 
Very stringent measures are being adopted by Escorts Limited to ensure that all precautions are taken against the spread of COVID-19. The factory has taken a host of measures including sanitization of the complete plant before each shift, thermal screening of all employees entering the factory, distance of 3 to 6 feet between all employees within the premises and the mandatory use of Arogya Setu app, among others.
 
Speaking on the safety measures being taken in the company, Baljit S Dagar, Group Head, Employee Relations, Escorts Ltd. said “We are fully committed to ensuring that maximum precautions are taken to keep the factory premises safe and secure from COVID-19. Not only are we implementing very strict norms, we are training our employees to behave in a safer manner and adopt additional precautions. From wearing masks to washing their hands with soap regularly, we are ensuring a change in behaviour in order to prevent infection reaching or transmitting on the shop floor.”
 
Meals in the canteens are being provided in shifts and attendance is being clocked through punching cards. Buses and cabs being provided to employees are also being sanitized fully.
 
The company has also made medical arrangements to deal with any untoward situation and a special quarantine space has been created for anyone suspected of being infected.
