Environment Awareness Programme at Vardhman International School
PNN/ Faridabad: Students of Vardhman International Public School, Sector-46, Faridabd launched Environment Awareness Programme at school premises here today. The programme kick-started with a plantation ceremony on campus.
The campaign aims at encouraging schoolchildren to inculcate good habits to help save energy and water and make the environment greener.
Students of the school presented a short dance-drama to convey the importance of trees to the 50-plus schoolchildren present.
“Children play a very important role in environment conservation. The minimum that we can do is not to litter parks, markets and save power at home. If you want to go a step ahead, do go ahead and plant and save trees. Make these your habits from childhood to make your city cleaner and greener,” said Vice Principal & PRO of the school Monika Jain.
Monika Jain further said students enjoyed the programme and learnt lessons on the importance of keeping their surroundings clean and conserve energy at home.
The whole programme was a huge success. Principal Suman Jain graced the occasion with her benign presence, was the Chief Guest and enjoyed the programme thoroughly and appreciated everyone for their efforts.
Suman Jain at last said the campaign will also encourage students to take part in various activities like performing nukkad nataks and writing slogans to spread the green message. They will also learn to nurture medical plants on campus.
