Interactive session on ‘Energy for Future’ organized at JC Bose University

Pnn/Faridabad: J.C. BoseUniversity of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, hosted an engaging interactive session themed ‘Energy for Future’ to commemorate National Technology Day, which marks the historic Pokhran-II Nuclear Test and celebrates India’s strides in science and technology. The event, supported by the Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation, and Technology, aimed to honor India’s technological advancements.

Professor Manish Gaur, Director of IIIT Una (Himachal Pradesh), graced the occasion as the chief guest, with Dr. Amit Dutta, Deputy Director of AICTE, as the guest of honor. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar presided over the event, with coordination by Prof. Raj Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET). Commencing with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, the session commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Raj Kumar, outlining the program’s agenda and theme.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar reflected on the challenges India faced during the Pokhran Test of 1998 and praised the nation’s spirit in achieving its objectives. He emphasized the pivotal role of technology in shaping our future, underscoring the importance of fundamental science in technological progress. Prof. Tomar highlighted the National Education Policy-2020, enabling researchers to leverage their creativity for national development and societal welfare.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Manish Gaur, emphasized the significance of data-driven technology in today’s world, advocating for multidisciplinary skills to enhance employability. He stressed the transformative impact of AI-based technologies on the job market and cited France as a prime example of leveraging nuclear technology for energy sustainability. Encouraging innovation and design thinking among students, he lauded the University’s commitment to scientific and technological research.
During the subsequent session, Dr. Amit Dutta from AICTE shared insights with the audience, while research scholars delved into discussions on ‘Energy for Future’ for sustainable development. The program culminated with a vote of thanks extended by Dr. O.P. Mishra.
